umm...sorry to say...this post will not be about the critically acclaimed TV show...but it is about a conversation i had with a friend a couple of months ago...it started all normal until she said with the outmost pride "im a cheater"...yes it shocked me quite a bit at the moment but she quickly followed it up with her reasons for the notorious statement...and that...is the reason for this post...her reasoning is simply..."if the person im with cant give me what i want...then i will get it somewhere else"...that...although profoundly taboo is completely logical...i dont know how i feel towards her philosophy...i mean...sure i can find numerous morality counter arguments...but then again...morality can be used to argue anything these days...well is it because we have similar personalities that i dont seem to think her logic is flawed in anyway? is it because she projected it as if it were an undeniable truth of the world? is it because of how sure she was of herself...as if she spent numerous days thinking about it and finally coming up with this conclusion...well whatever it is...i cant seem to figure out how i feel towards that philosophy...and that...my friends...is bugging me quite a bit

cheating is simply wrong because it affects/hurts someone else, that in itself should be a big NO NO. if what's missing from the relationship is sexual or the like then it makes it even worse. you shouldn't be with anyone who isn't the best for you anyway. why be in a relationship that's second rate to begin with. some people are just too damn logical and never find the heart to think about values anymore. god damn shame.
